I belong to a group at yahoo.  And for some strange reason I feel that they are all wanna bees. I don't mean to sound rude about this but the intelligent level of communication there is somewhat lacking among some of the Pagans.   Some of them have not read the finer books or discoveries that I was nurtured on as a child growing up.  Some do not understand about healings or herb lore. Some have no concept about the coven life or training...It is a shame this has to be going on like this .  And if one says anything they considered rude or mis-understood.  I just do not know what to do...I have my own group there it is called Wiccans Galore...if you are interested I have a small group...why I don't know?  Perhaps someone here can help me there?

I agree that there are many in the Pagan community considered "fluffy bunnies" or "wanna-blessed-bes" who don't seem to even want to do the research. Also unfortunately, there are a great many people that for some reason try to do as much damage to spelling, grammar and punctuation as they possibly can. I sincerely hope that they are not as stupid as the impression that they give. The fact that they react with hostility if you say something like "actually, you don't have to be a Wiccan to be a witch" or "No, Freya is not primarily a moon goddess, really she's not" is terrible, not just because it's really rude, but because it shows a close-minded unwillingness to learn. This is frustrating, to say the least.

But, you may rest easy - we aren't all like that, even those of us only recently come to Paganism. You are lucky to have been nurtured so as a youngling. It is hard being a teen Pagan in a place where good information on Paganism is hard to find. It is also almost impossible in some places to find a coven willing to train up a new neophyte or two (thankfully, being of a solitary bent, I never felt the drive to join one, although from my research in my area no covens are training or accepting new members). Fear not, there are those of us who have survived, and progressed past Silver Ravenwolf.

Have faith - they will either grow up, or cease their dabbling. There is hope for the younger generation ;) even those of us not properly educated in herb lore.
